2nd Alarm Fire in Edgewood

This morning around 0530 hours, Station 137 was dispatched along with our first alarm assignment for reports of smoke and fire coming from the back of a house in the 100 BLK of Ivy Street. 137 Chief arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from the second and third floors in the rear of the residence. 137 and 278 Engine crews arrived and quickly went into fire attack mode. Other mutual aid companies arrived on scene shortly thereafter and assisted in the operations. Crews operated on scene for several hours to extinguish the fire. The incident escalated to 2 alarms, bringing in a total of 45 firefighters. All occupants were out and accounted for. EVFD would like to thank all mutual aid companies for assistance this morning.
