While preparing to clear the dwelling fire in Penn Hills, ACES 911 alerted 137 to a reported accident with entrapment just a mile away. 137 Rescue quickly cleared the incident and responded with a full rescue crew.
While responding, PD arrived on scene confirming entrapment and requesting 137 to expedite. 137 arrived on scene shortly thereafter and reported one vehicle with heavy damage on its side wrapped around a pole. After extensive stabilization, 137 Rescue completed a full roof removal to access the patient, who was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. It took just under 25 minutes to extricate the patient.
